Our History
In the middle 1970s, the company was founded by former Chesterfield politician George Wilson Jones, after whom the company is named. With the company being initially a manufacturers' representative, it was operated by him for over 30 years until his passing on July 3, 2010. Up to that point, the company had been involved in work related to construction, having therefore developed experience in that field.
Around a month after Jones' passing, the company was then sold to Marden Vasconcelos, who still runs the company to this day. Being the owner of the now-inactive America Contracting Inc., he formally incorporated the latter into George W. Jones Company in the same year, forming the current general contractor that we are.Â
So far, George W. Jones Company has over three decades of experience with construction and renovation work.
